Word Cove Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Word Cove ("we," "our," or "us") is a relaxing word-search puzzle game in which letter grids form playful shapes. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding information in connection with the Word Cove mobile application.

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information.

Specifically, the app:

• Does not require registration, login, or account creation
• Does not collect names, email addresses, or contact information
• Does not collect location data
• Does not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or IP addresses
• Does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies
• Does not use analytics or behavioral tracking services
• Does not contain advertising of any kind

All app data — your puzzle progress, daily streak, best times, settings, and which packs you have unlocked — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. Offline by Design

Word Cove works entirely offline. The app makes no network requests, there is no server, and no data ever leaves your device. The app also requests no device permissions — it does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or photos.

4. In-App Purchases

Word Cove offers optional one-time in-app purchases that unlock the full set of levels in a pack. These are processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or process payment information. Apple shares with us only an anonymized transaction identifier, which the app uses to verify your purchase so that unlocked packs stay unlocked and can be restored — we cannot link this to your name, email, or any personal detail.

5. Third-Party Services

Word Cove does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or social media services. We do not share data with any third parties because we do not collect any data to share.

6. Data Security

Because we collect no personal information, there is no personal data to secure. Your local app data is protected by iOS's standard application sandboxing.

7. GDPR and CCPA

Since we do not collect, process, or store personal data, the data subject rights granted by GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability) and CCPA (knowledge, deletion, opt-out of sale) have no data to apply to. We do not sell user data because we do not have user data.

8. Children

Word Cove is a family-friendly word puzzle game. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age, and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by collecting no data at all. In-app purchases should be made by an adult or with the permission of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
