By downloading, installing, or using the Algora mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Algora is an educational application that teaches computer science algorithms and data structure patterns through interactive visualizations, step-by-step explanations, hands-on experimentation, and quizzes. A limited selection of content is available free of charge; the complete library is available through Algora Pro (see Section 4).
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial educational purposes on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store terms.
You may not:
Algora Pro unlocks the full algorithm library, all quizzes, and unlimited Playground use. Pro is available as:
All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Current prices are always displayed in the App before purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your App Store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Cancellation. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in your device's Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until then. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple, and refund requests are processed by Apple under their policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Restoring purchases. Use the "Restore" option in the App to re-activate Pro on a new or reset device signed into the same Apple Account.
Algora is a learning aid. While we strive for accuracy in all algorithm explanations, complexity analyses, and quiz content, the App is provided for educational purposes only. We make no guarantees regarding academic results, examination outcomes, interview performance, or employment outcomes arising from use of the App.
The App, including its design, visualizations, animations, text, quiz content, and branding, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Algorithms themselves (such as merge sort or binary search) are common knowledge of computer science; our original expression of them — explanations, visual design, step sequences, and interactive presentations — is proprietary.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. IN NO EVENT SHALL TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections 5 through 8 survive termination.
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
